Floyd Fest 2021 ~ Odyssey Announced their headliners this week: The Avett Brothers

The magic is brewing. Sounds of the banjo, guitar, harmonica, sweet vocals, and the brothers whistling across the Blue Ridge. Get ready for an enchanting musical experience as The Avett Brothers will be headlining Floyd Fest 2021~Odyssey.

Raised on a farm in rural Concord, N.C., Scott and Seth Avett had music on the brain as they figured out their original sound from teenage years through college. The rock and roll and folk undertones were present from the band’s early years even as Seth and Scott were perusing the music scene in search of who they were as a band and their foreseeable future. Bob Crawford joined the brothers in their musical pursuits, egging them on to take the leap and start embracing their talent. In signature garage band fashion, The Avett Brothers band recorded one of their first songs, “Country Was” and set off on tour. Cliche as it may be, the rest is history. The band called Charlotte and Concord home for much of their early shows but later traveled all across the U.S. with Crawford and cellist Joe Kwon.  Mike Marsh, Tania Elizabeth, and Bonnet Avett-Rini round out the band.
