Line-Up Announcement: 4848 Festival Returns to Snowshoe Mountain Resort

In the summer, Snowshoe Mountain is a great place to escape the Southern heat. Set in West Virginia’s Allegheny Mountains at an elevation of 4,848 feet, the resort’s location will sometimes spot you a 10-degree dip from the humid landscapes not far away. And this July there’s another reason to visit, the return of the annual 4848 Festival.

Taking place July 17-19, the festival just unveiled a pretty stacked line-up lead by soul-roots heroes Lake Street Dive and string band expansionists Greensky Bluegrass. Deadheads will also be pleased, as Dark Star Orchestra fills the third headlining spot. The undercard features Allen Stone, The Dip, Boombox, Dogs in a Pile, and a bunch more.

The music takes place on two stages in the resort’s mountaintop village, which has some great restaurants and a bike shop, where you can rent a rig to ride some killer downhill trails.

Read more about the line-up and access tickets, which go on sale January 24, here.
