Blue Ridge Outdoors Top Towns: Greenville, S.C.

While Greenville is only a short drive from the Blue Ridge Mountains and state parks like Jones Gap, Caesar’s Head and Table Rock, you never actually have to leave town to experience some of the area’s best outdoors opportunities.

In the heart of Greenville’s downtown is Reedy River Falls at Falls Park. From there, hop on the newly developed Swamp Rabbit Trail, which connects to Traveler’s Rest, home to Swamp Rabbit Brewery and Taproom and Sunrift Adventures Outfitters.

Nearby, the 78-mile Foothills Trail connects several of upstate South Carolina’s state parks and protected lands near Lake Jocassee, one of the best flatwater kayaking destinations in the East.
