Clips of the Week: Turtle Back GoPro

Ever wondered what life might look like through the eyes of a sea turtle? Well thanks to the World Wide Fund for Nature, we now have a better understanding of what that might be like. WWF conservationists from Queensland, Australia strapped a GoPro to the back of the giant sea turtle and sent the ancient reptile into the Great Barrier Reef. Officials with the conservation organization say the experiment will help biologist better understand the post-release behavior of tagged turtles while drawing attention to the fragile, endangered ecosystem of the Great Barrier Reef.

“The Great Barrier Reef is home to almost 6000 species. Thanks to GoPro, here’s what the journey through it looks like for one of them: a turtle’s eye view of the Reef.”

“It is pretty rare to catch Red Creek running on a Saturday in June. We were blessed with a solid crew and lots of water. Whitewater, Kayaking, Clapper, Double Clapper, Mood Ring, Three Boofs to the Left, Superslide.”

“A door to door adventure in Carbondale, Colorado. Bike from town, hike up a mountain, float the river home. Enjoy life!”
