Charlotte, N.C. has recently been dubbed “America’s Manliest City” by a study that ranks 50 major metropolitan areas using manly criteria like the number of home improvement stores, steak houses, pick-up trucks, motorcycles, and manly occupations (firefighters, police officers, construction workers). According to the study, Charlotte excels in the “manly lifestyle” category and “salty snack sales” category. The study was sponsored by Combos, which is the “official cheese-filled snack of NASCAR.”
