Canyoneering the steep canyons and boulder-strewn creeks of the Blue Ridge mountains around the Pisgah National Forest isn’t the way most people choose to go fishing. Well, Blue Ridge Outdoors contributor Graham Averill, BRO’s Dusty Allison and Tenkara USA‘s Daniel Galhardo aren’t your typical fishermen.
They teamed up with Pura Vida Adventures and braved temps in the 30s and pouring rain to catch North Carolina native brook trout from tiny pools this weekend. Look for Averill’s full report in the July issue of Blue Ridge Outdoors, but here’s a sneak preview of their awesome adventure.
