Charlottesville’s Oldest Brewery

South Street Brewery, founded in 1998, is Charlottesville’s oldest brewery and one of the cornerstones of the craft brewing movement in Virginia.

Visitors to the brewery enjoy our expanded beer offerings, including venerated South Street originals, as well as new beers reflecting the diversity and experimentation that is the heart of American craft brewing.

Our food offerings lean heavily toward local artisans- from beef to bread, from tofu to produce and everything in between- reflecting our belief that Charlottesville, Virginia is the best place on Earth to live, drink and eat!

Satan’s Pony is an old-school Amber Ale of exceptionally balanced malt complexity.  5.3% ABV  12 IBUs

 

SS_VALager_Sixpack
Virginia Lager is a cold-aged beer of the smoothest flavor with gently toasted malt, and a light hand of noble hops.  5% ABV  18 IBUs

 

SS_365Shandy_Sixpack
365 Shandy is a delicious ale with a burst of Cascade hops to complement the natural lemonade.  The beer so refreshing we keep brewing it 365 days a year.  5% ABV  12 IBUs
