This past weekend, the Blue Ridge Mountain Sports Experience rocked the nTelos Pavilion in Charlottesville, Va. Blue Ridge Outdoors and its partner company, Mountain High Media, were sponsors of this event.
We got out there early to set up the BRO booth, complete with a brand new four-door Jeep Wrangler. We had the BRO fat tire bikes out there, the new Festival Issue, and gear and prizes to give away.
Three different bands were playing that night, and the crowds started gearing up when the Sons of Bill took the stage. They played a killer set and really set the tone of the evening. Everybody was dancing and having a great time. At one point, a BRO staffer was asked to man the beer tent, where the Devils Backbone 8 point IPA was the hit. He may or may not have snuck a few for himself, but that hasn’t been confirmed.
Next up were the Infamous Stringdusters, and all we can say is, Holy Cow. They rocked the Pavilion. From smooth, soulful hits to foot-stomping bluegrass, they showed Charlottesville the sonic art of string instruments. For a good 90 minutes, there was not an empty seat in the house. The crowds demanded an encore, and we got to see all the band members face off in fiddle, banjo, and guitar solos.
Thanks to everyone for coming out and enjoying the show. The Blue Ridge Outdoors crew had a great time hanging with all of you, and we hope to see you at the next Road Show event!
