Couple Says ‘I Do’ On Top Of Mountain

Bob Ewing and Antonie Hodge Ewing’s marriage started out on the rocks — on top of Seneca Rocks, W.Va that is. The avid rock-climbing newlyweds tied the knot in August at the summit of their favorite mountain, the same spot where Ewing popped the question five months earlier.

Even more impressive was that the couple did the 900-foot climb in full wedding attire — tuxedo, poofy white gown and all — making them the first couple to have climbed and gotten married atop the peak while in traditional wedding regalia. A small party of five friends and family joined the couple from Arlington, Va  for their mountaintop vows.

The adventurous couple plans on making the climb every year for their anniversary, continuing to share their love for rock climbing and the outdoors with their love for each other.
