Dave Matthews Sings for the Mountains

Dave Matthews will join his old friend Emmylou Harris at the historic Ryman Auditorium in Nashville on May 18 at the Music Saves Mountains concert to raise awareness about mountaintop removal mining in Appalachia. The high-profile concert will also feature appearances by Patty Griffin, Buddy Miller, Patty Loveless, and Kathy Mattea with more artists to be announced. Seeing a show at the Ryman—originally a church built in 1892—is one of the best live music experiences possible. The old pews of the former longtime home of the Grand Ole Opry are still intact, and the back walls are adorned with artifacts from Music City legends. This will certainly be a very special and important event—hosted by the Natural Resources Defense Council. Tickets go on sale this Friday at 10am here.
