February 2014 Issue of BRO is Live!

Are you ready to shred, send, and sweat? Our February 2014 issue features our Race Ahead guide, a yearlong calendar of the top outdoor races, competitions, and events in the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic. Whether you’re a paddler, runner, climber, biker, powder shredder, or enthusiastic crowd-goer, we’ve got an event for you!

To help us narrow down the list, we’ve asked six of the region’s outdoor experts to give us their votes and a behind-the-scenes look at what goes into organizing some of these events.

Also in this month’s issue are a number of articles from our in-house writers and contributors. BRO contributor Devan Boyle breaks down the argument for which is better, summer or winter olympics. BRO contributor Graham Averill takes us through the reality of parenthood and the great outdoors while Anne Lundblad talks fastest known times (FKTs) in the Blue Ridge. BRO travel editor Jess Daddio travels to Canaan Valley to hit the trails with White Grass Touring Center owner Chip Chase, and senior editor Jedd Ferris wraps up this issue with the latest news in the music biz.

Happy February, y’all. Make it a good one.
