Old St. Warren brings the big jam back to the Asheville Civic Center tomorrow night. Surprisingly, tickets are still available for Haynes’ annual Christmas Jam, which donates proceeds to Habitat for Humanity. According to the event website, to date the event has raised over a million dollars for Ashville’s Habitat chapter. The event, now in its 21st year, started in a small club and has gradually worked its way up to becoming one of the region’s biggest annual rock blowouts. If you’ve never been, expect up to 10 hours of musical mayhem with plenty of random collaborations. This year’s lineup will feature sets from Gov’t Mule, Counting Crows, Ani DiFranco and Stax legend William Bell. The real fun will come from sit-ins from special guests including Aerosmith’s Brad Whitford, Trombone Shorty, Jeff Austin, Mike Barnes, Jackie Greene, Col. Bruce Hampton, Jimmy Herring, Kevn Kinney, and Edwin McCain. More info here.
