The Wood Chop

Chopping fire wood burns 522 calories per hour, making it a dual cardio and strength training exercise.

But you don’t need to be Paul Bunyan to feel the burn.  Try a simulated wood chop in the gym with a heavy medicine ball.

Raise the ball over your head, then slam it into the floor while dropping into a half squat. Catch it after the bounce. Do as many slams as you can in 30 seconds.
