Last week, the Rooster Walk Music and Arts Festival finalized the line-up for its 14th running, and this year organizers have put together one of the event’s strongest slates of music to date. The fest, which takes place May 23-26 at Pop’s Farm—a scenic site in the rolling hills around Martinsville, Virginia—will be headlined by country legend Emmylou Harris and funk-guitar shredder Cory Wong.
There will also be sets by North Mississippi Allstars, Big Something, and Daniel Donato’s Cosmic Country. Looking a little deeper into the undercard, the event also has a solid roster of up and comers set to perform, including Dogs in a Pile, Arkansauce, and one of our new regional favorites, Colby T. Helms & the Virginia Creepers.
Topping it all off is a rare reunion from Broke Mountain Bluegrass Band, an old-school Colorado string band that features current members of the Infamous Stringdusters, Leftover Salmon, and Greensky Bluegrass.
In addition to four days of music, Rooster Walk also offers a range of outdoor activities, including kayak float trips, bikes, yoga, and disc golf.
