Piedmont blues legend John Cephas passed away yesterday, reportedly of natural causes. He was 78 years old. Cephas was a singer and renowned finger-picking blues guitarist for the award-winning duo Cephas and Wiggins with partner Phil Wiggins. The pair played all over the world, delivering a Southern Piedmont-style of blues to crowds around the world for the past four decades.
