Roanoke-based race promoter Mountain Junkies LLC will expand its trail race offerings in 2009 into a whole series. The Valley will get four races this year, including the brand new Mill Mountain Mayhem 10K, the first running race ever to held on the trails of Mill Mountain in downtown Roanoke, which will take place on April 18.

March 7 – Explore Your Limits 10K/5K – Explore Park
March 28 – Montvale 10 Mile/5 Mile Trail Runs – Montvale Park
June 6 – Trail Nut Half-Marathon and 10K – Bedford’s Falling Creek Park
