Lights Out

Cities, businesses, and schools are among the many around the world that will dim their lights between the hours of 8:30 and 9:30 tomorrow night for the second annual Earth Hour. A symbol in the fight against global climate change, lights will be dimmed by more than 2,800 municipalities in 84 countries, according to a story in the Associated Press. High-profile structures that will be turning down the electricity include the Sears Tower in Chicago and the Eiffel Tower in Paris. Even McDonald’s plans to dim the Golden Arches at 500 locations.
