The XTERRA Atlantic Cup will take place in Richmond on June 13-14. The high-profile off-road triathlon is part of a national series that attracts some of the best mountain sports athletes in the world. The race offers a $10,000 prize purse to winners. The event, which has taken place around Richmond’s scenic downtown riverfront park since 1999, was in jeopardy, due to race series owners Team Unlimited having difficulty securing sponsorship dollars.
