Jynocel Basweti won the SunTrust Richmond Marathon in an impressive 2:22. In doing so the 21-year-old Kenyan not only bested last year’s winner Mohamed Awol by two and a half minutes, he also completed a marathon hat trick, winning three marathons in three consecutive months. Basweti won the Quad Cities Marathon in September and the Denver Marathon in October.
