How To Make an Evening Hot Toddy

Our first few days on the road have been cold and rainy.  We decided to warm our hearts and stomachs with an evening version Hot Toddy (sans black tea)!  You can make it with only a few things while out car camping and it’s a spirit lifter when times are damp.

What you need:
Two lemons
Two packets of sugar (we grabbed ours from a health food grocery store)
3 cups of water and a water system to filter it, we know it will be boiled, but we like to be triple safe
4 shots of whiskey of your choice
Teapot

How to:
Bring 3 cups of water to a boil
Add two packets of sugar
Add the juice from two lemons any way you can
Add four shots of whiskey, the squeezed lemon makes a great shot measure

Strain all of that into your mugs, sit back, and enjoy the rain!
