Blue Ridge Outdoors Magazine is proud to present the 23rd Annual Blue Ridge Burn on Saturday, October 6, 2018!
It’s that time of year again, time to celebrate the changing of the seasons by hitting the trails for the annual Blue Ridge Burn trail run. This race is part of a host of events taking place at this year’s Festy Experience.
The course for this 5k/10k trail run will begin inside the Festy grounds and will wind through the picturesque rolling hills of Infinity Downs Farm. Registration is $25 and includes a race T-shirt. The race takes place on Saturday, October 6 and all proceeds will benefit the Southern Environmental Law Center. You may register here.
Located in Nelson County, Va. at Infinity Downs Farm, not far from BRO headquarters in downtown Charlottesville, the Blue Ridge Burn is a 5K/10K Trail Race that covers a mix of rugged, rolling terrain in the hills of one of Virginia’s most bucolic settings. The Burn partners with The Festy, a three-day music, camping, and outdoor sports festival. Come run and then stay for a whole weekend of festivities. This year The Festy lineup includes hosts and Festy founders, Greensky Bluegrass, Sam Bush Band, Gillian Welch, Railroad Earth, and Ricky Skaggs and Kentucky Thunder and many more!
Huge thanks to Blue Mountain Brewery, VNB, Ragged Mountain, Pepsi, Tiger Fuel, King Technical Apparel, Trader Joe’s, Bodo’s, Rebecca’s Natural Foods, and Great Outdoor Provisions for making this year’s event possible!
