Weekend Pick: Greenville Santa Run

The Greenville Track Club presents the Greenville Santa Run this Saturday, December 21st in Greenville, South Carolina. The event benefits the Kroc Center of Greenville Scholarship Fund, local charities, and others in need. Tis the season!

You can register online as well as on race day. The cost varies from $35 (this includes a hat) to $45 (this includes a hat and shirt) for adults and $12 for kids ages 5-14.  Packet pick-up is on race day from 1:00-5:00pm.

The Santa Run is a twilight 5k run and starts at 5:30pm on the county square and goes east along the Swamp Rabbit Trail. Costumes that light up are encouraged! There will be lights along the course as well as fun, holiday music.

For those interested in running with a one-pound fruitcake (because really, who isn’t), you can sign up for the Fruit Cake Relay. Winners will have a chance to trade in their fruit cakes for awesome prizes at the after party.

There will be an after party in Falls Park. All participants and guests are welcome! There will be refreshments and Christmas gifts to go around.

The Greenville Track Club hosts 16 races and this will be the last of the year. It should make for a great end to 2013!
