Broker-in-Charge and co-founder of Looking Glass Realty Asheville, Adam Skoog, has been exploring the magical Blue Ridge mountains for as long as he can remember. Born and raised in North Carolina, Skoog comes from a family of dedicated entrepreneurs who instilled in him the importance of honesty, focus, and commitment. Driven by these values, his ventures in real estate met with early success.

A bright and welcoming office
When he was introduced to local business owner Dylan Glasgow, he recognized an entrepreneur whose business ideals aligned with his own. Glasgow grew up in a family-run bed and breakfast in Asheville and knows the city’s neighborhoods by heart. In 2016, he opened The Liberty House Cafe in order to create a space that would foster a sense of community for locals.
A shared love of mountain biking led to friendship and friendship quickly turned to collaboration. Together, the young partners officially opened the doors to the Asheville branch of Looking Glass Realty in 2019. It’s their vision to offer a unique space for creative, hardworking agents to thrive.
“Looking Glass Realty is made up of agents who genuinely care about this community,” Skoog says.
As a longtime advocate for his home state’s natural beauty and resources, he considers it a privilege to serve clients who also value the area for all it has to offer.

At thirty-one and twenty-seven, they both share the millennials’ appreciation for adaptability, an ability to pivot when introduced to new technologies that best meet the demands of a changing market. They will happily pilot novel ideas agents bring to the table and encourage the kind of innovative thinking that has characterized the firm since its inception.

Looking Glass Realty was founded in Brevard in 2010 by Paul Wilander. Paul originally fell in love with the mountains of WNC while going to summer camp. Shortly after graduating college he made Brevard, North Carolina his home where he gets to share in this beautiful mountain region with his three daughters.
