Revolutionary Battles in the Old 96 District, SC

The Old 96 District of South Carolina, encompassing Abbeville, Edgefield, Greenwood, Laurens, and McCormick counties, is rich in history, culture, and outdoor adventures. At the Heritage Gold Mine, visitors can explore the second-largest gold vein in South Carolina and try their hand at panning for gold during select dates in the summer.

For a nostalgic and family-friendly experience, the 25 Drive-In remains a fully operational drive-in movie theater. The Greenwood Railroad Historical Center showcases the rich history of rail transportation in the area.
