The Music City isn’t just all big belt buckles and auto-tune.
Nope. Tossed into the big mix is a little bit of jam, too. Check out Luthi, a nine-piece boogie circus set to drop its first record, Stranger, early next month.
The band describes its sound as “Cumberland Funk” – an homage to the river that flows through its Nashville home and a sound that blends soul, R&B, 70’s funk, and 80’s New Wave.
No need to wait until the release of Stranger, though, to get a taste of that sonic gumbo. Today, Trail Mix has partnered with the band to bring you the video for their debut single, “Milk and Honey.”
You can catch LUTHI this weekend in Atlanta at Sweetwater 420 Fest on Saturday and at Pisgah Brewing in Black Mountain, NC, on Sunday.
