Perhaps, with the arrival of autumn over the weekend just past, one might think festival season is over.
One would be wrong.
This weekend, in the heart of Nelson County, Virginia, the third annual Devils Backbone Hoopla will ring in fall with a combination of outstanding music, craft beer, and outdoor adventure.
Central Virginia is spectacular in the fall and Nelson County should be your destination this weekend. A tremendous line up that includes Tyler Childers, Rayland Baxter, Front Country, Love Canon, Saw Black, Sarah Shook, Larry Keel, and many more is coupled with a pop-up beer fest showcasing the work of Devils Backbone and other masters of the fermenting arts, mountain biking, hiking, rock climbing adventures, limited run/special edition beer tastings, and brewery tours.
For this fan of both beer and the outdoors, a weekend in Nelson County is calling my name.
For information on the rest of the lineup, outdoor adventures, tickets, and camping, please check out the Devils Backbone website.
Blue Ridge Outdoors and Devils Backbone would love to give you and a friend a chance at attending the festival this weekend for free! To win a pair of weekend passes, take a shot at the trivia question below. A winner will be chosen from all of the correct responses received by noon on Wednesday, September 26th!
Good luck!!
Question . . . . Hoopla headliner and newly anointed Americana Music Association Emerging Artist of the Year Tyler Childers’ most recent record, Purgatory, was produced by what fellow Kentucky Americana badass?
