Better late than never!
Some technical issues on the home front have delayed the arrival of the September mix, but here it is, coming in hot!
And what a mix it is!
Sometimes, you can grasp at a straw, just to see if you can reach it. This month, I did just that with the showcase track for the September mix. Grab a track from The Lumineers, one of the biggest folk rock bands in the land? Sure. Give it a go. Cross my fingers and hold on. And they said yes! I can’t even begin to explain how honored Trail Mix is to be featuring “Gloria,” from The Lumineers’ new release III, which drops this week.
The mix is also excited to feature brand new cuts from noted artists – and long time friends of Trail Mix – like Hiss Golden Messenger, Lily & Madeleine, Andrew Combs, Sunny War, Jonah Tolchin, Billy Strings, The Wood Brothers, Hot Club of Cowtown, Charlie Parr, and The Hip Abduction.
New to the Trail Mix family are Ashley Sofia, Lauren Lucas, Emily Mure, Lisa Bastoni, One Two Ten, Lesibu Grand, and Michaela Anne. Be sure to check out tracks from these newly discovered artists.
Keep your eyes on the Trail Mix blog, which will feature chats with Nels Andrews and Old Salt Union this month.
And take the time to get out and spread the word about these artists. Get out and buy some of their music or catch them when they hit a stage near you. Thank them for allowing Trail Mix to showcase their music. They will appreciate it.
